The Viennese had the opportunity during a month to discover the works of the traveling exhibition “Religious Tolerance: Islam in the Sultanate of Oman,” organized at the Community Center for Adult Education “Volkshochschule (VHS) Meidling”. The event attracted a large number of visitors, and more than 500 people attended the opening ceremony. During the opening session, the participants assisted the screening of the documentary “Religious Tolerance in Oman” in the presence of director Wolfgang Ettlich, greeted by a barrage of applause from the audience.
The leaders of the Center and the former Austrian Minister of Arts, Education and Culture particularly welcomed the organization in Vienna of this cultural event and praised the initiative of the Sultanate of Oman to share with the world its experience of tolerance and coexistence of religions, ethnicities and cultures.Vienna: 2 to 31 May, 2011
