Visas policy
The Government has made it easier for tourists to obtain visas. Tourist visas are now valid for 21 days. AGCC citizens from Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates only require an ID card to enter Oman, but expatriates resident in the AGCC countries can now obtain entry visas at the border or the airport. The Royal Oman Police issue two types of visa. Sponsored visas are issued to groups via tourist agencies. In February 2000, a joint tourist visa agreement was signed between the UAE and Oman to allow tourists to visit both countries on the same visit visa. The same agreement has been signed with Qatar in 2004.The Government has made it easier for tourists to obtain visas. Tourist visas are now valid for 21 days.
