The status, role and necessity of Fatwa were discussed in this conference, as well as the standards that must be taken into account when issuing Fatwa. The conference highlighted the phases that Fatwa has gone through, the problems it faces in the Islamic World today and how to keep pace with scientific development. The conference has, also, covered the issues that must be taken into account in Nawazil and how to address new occurrences, unprecedented cases, incidents or events that arise.
