This conference addressed the standards of Ijtihad and the necessity to continue it and to renew Fatwa in response to the changing and renewing environment in Islamic world with the development of practical sciences. The conference discussed the codification phenomenon in Islamic jurisprudence, its origin, advantages, problems and the efforts being exerted to develop and activate it in jurisdiction.
