The International Islamic University of Islamabad (Pakistan) hosted on 26 March 2014 the 43rd exhibition on the message of Islam and religious tolerance in Oman which particularly included 28 graphic works and the projection of a document summarizing the main values of international understanding and tolerance in Islam.
During the opening ceremony, the Pakistani Minister of habous, religious affairs and understanding between religions, Serdar Mohamed Youssef, underlined the particular importance of such events to correct the false prejudices glued to Muslims and their religion because of the negative behavior of a minority.
The President of the Senate of Pakistan, Raja Dhafir Al Haq, stressed the commitment to true Islam and its high moral values, while the President of the Islamic University, Ahmed Youssef, described the initiative as a valid exhibition under all circumstances.
On the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony, the Omani delegation held talks with the President of the Pakistani Senate, who is also Secretary general of the Islamic Conference and the Director General of the Academy of Religious Studies at the International Islamic University of Islamabad.Islamabad: March 26, 2014
