Brazil had the opportunity to meet the show “The Message of Islam” on two occasions and in two different cities in 2014, in Sao Paulo in June and in Foz do Iguaçu in July.
In Sao Paolo, Oman hosted the show, which coincided with the final 2014 Football World Brazil. This event, the 47th of its kind held in the world, was held in coordination with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Foreign Affairs in cooperation with the Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Brazil. The opening ceremony was chaired by Arnaldo Faria De Sa, MP and member of the Federal Council, in the presence of many Brazilian officials, presidents of religious centers, members of the Arab communities, academics, students and academics. Arnaldo Faria De Sa said it was important for the people of Brazil to discover religious tolerance and the lifestyle which distinguish the Omani citizen. Foz do Iguaçu, the second largest city in Brazil and the 48th in the world who has had the privilege of hosting the show “The Message of Islam” hosted the cultural exhibition which started in Oman, a country that is firmly attached to the message of peace between peoples, said the Ambassador of Oman in Brazil on the occasion of the opening ceremony. This event illustrated the high values of peace and cooperation in a relaxed environment where justice must prevail for all of humanity, he added. The mayor of Foz Do Iguaçu, René Pereira, aid the show is one of the initiatives that promote cultural integration of peoples and complementarity of civilizations. He invited the students of different nationalities to come and visit this fair in large numbers, which he said, will encourage Brazil to better know Islam and Muslim culture.
