The Hague hosted for six weeks the first exhibition in the Netherlands of “The message of Islam: Religious Tolerance in Oman”. During this period, the library of this cosmopolitan city has turned into a meeting place between religions under the aegis of the United Religions Initiative (URI) of the Netherlands and the Interreligious Council of the district of Segbroek (IBS).
With representatives of most religions of different origins, the opening ceremony presented a radiograph of reality in Oman, highlighting the role of multiple denominations that are everywhere in harmony.
Like Oman, The Hague is also a model of tolerance and support in respect of this cultural event, said Rayn Baldeswingh, a Hindu origin speaker from Dutch Surinam and member of the City Council.
